Pickerington North XC Regional Championships

Welcome to the Pickerington North Regional Cross Country Information website. On this website you will find detailed information including the time schedule, course map, starting boxes (NOW POSTED), contact information, directions to Pickerington North High School and traffic patterns for entering the school; as well as a list and map of food establishments in the area. Please click on the links to the left to access this information.

The Pickerington North Cross Country course is 5000 meters covering grass, mulch and two road crossings. The course consists of three loops; the first being approximately 900 meters. The second loop consists of a path through the woods (which is repeated near the the finish). Lastly, the east loop consisting of moderate uphills and two short steep climbs.

Coaches, please look at the directions links for parking of buses and where to pick up your meet information upon arriving at Pickerington North. Also please feel free to visit and run/walk the course before the Regional Meet. The course will be lined with white paint and will remain lined starting the week before. No buses or vehicles allowed in the back parking lot between 1.30PM and 2.00PM (for our dismissal).
No need to call for permission.

MESSAGES FROM THE MEET DIRECTOR

FOR 2011 - Finish Timing will be back handing all of the scoring for the PHSN Regional Meet. We will be scoring the meet by chips attached to the athlete's shoe. We will not be using pulltags and we will not be issuing finish cards this year.

NON-COMPETING ATHLETES - Non-competing athletes will be treated as spectators this year and will be asked to stay in spectator areas. Only competing athletes and coaches will be allowed at the starting line and finish line areas. Coaches please pass along to your team members.

PREVIEWING THE COURSE - The course will be lined and ready to be previewed by teams qualifying to the Regional Meet, the entire week leading up to the Regional Meet. Coaches and athletes are permitted to run the course, as long as a school official is present at that time. No need to call ahead to get permission. Please be aware that the course includes the soccer and football practice fields, please yield to these teams during their practice times. We dismiss at 1.40 PM please don't have buses park behind the school between 1.30 and 2.00 PM.

PACKET PICK-UP: Teams may begin to pick up their team packets starting at 9.30AM on Saturday.
