Greetings from Pickerington High School North!
Our school year is off to a great start with wonderful things
happening in the classrooms, in the fine and performing arts
world and with our athletic programming. We have enrolled
over 100 new students here at PHSN and I’d like to extend
a warm Panther welcome to every new family in our community.
I hope you find our community warm and inviting. If you look
closely, you will find some kind of activity, club, athletic
event, stage performance or volunteer work to attract every
high school student’s interest. Parents, you’re
not off the hook either! Get involved! PTO/Academic Boosters
is always calling for new volunteers to support our students
in and outside of the classroom. It makes the high school
experience with us much easier if everyone is involved and
interested in student success.
We are working very hard to provide an excellent education
for all of our students. Our teaching staff worked throughout
the last school year to identify specific needs and programming
for our students as well as for their own professional growth.
In addition, the Late Start Days provide time for teacher
professional development where we work on teaching techniques,
collaborate on lesson planning and share successful work we’ve
done in our classrooms. We hope that these additional programs
will provide a stronger school environment for teachers and
students to learn and grow.
Finally, our high school administrative team works very hard
to provide a safe and healthy school setting. We focus our
efforts to offer every student a drug-free,weapon-free, non-bullying
school where relationships, climate and culture are celebrated.
All of these basic needs have to be met before any level of
quality education can take place. Please join us in this cause
by addressing these same issues in your homes and reporting
areas of concern to any member of our administrative or school
counseling teams.
We are Pickerington, we are one community, and it is my desire
that we continue to work together for all of our students.
